Stumbled upon your blog a week ago and decided to come back. Not for the articles you write, but for how you write them, really amazing stuff you’re doing here, i like how you put information into the articles which makes it much more easier to read and much more interesting of course. Keep up the good work!

hey there….i will also be sitting for the 2008 exam. i “stumbled” across this blog – as everyone says – and will add it to my RSS reader. i too am posting my own CFA reviews on my blog (creditmusings.blogspot.com) because I find it helps me to remember stuff when i write/type it out. i took 2007 level II exam last year and did not pass. i think its because I relied solely on Schweser and it screwed me. i have some bright friends that also didn’t pass Level II the first time so i don’t feel so bad about it, but it definitely sucks! i’m starting with fixed income and doing everything very thoroughly so I fully understand what they want rather than rely on other study materials to tell me. i think your plan is right on and you should def pass if you can keep it up. i’ve def had my slacker days but will be ramping it up and also will be getting the practice exam CD from Schweser. its a ton of work so keep it up and i’m sure you’ll rock it out.

@DailyGuy, Good to know that someone out there is reading this blog. :) This keeps me motivated. So, in order to blog more…I’ll study more. LOL. Which level are you appearing for and how’s your prep?

@Matt, I know three other people who failed to pass Level-II and two of them were re-taking it for the 2nd time. So, I’m sure it’s realyl difficult. What’s great is that we keep going through the pain again in order to achieve our goal :) All the best to you! I hope that I clear it next June. I’m mostly relying on CFA Curriculum. Haven’t even bought Schweser notes else I’ll be tempted to take the short cut. But I do plan to get the Qbank sometime soon and start banging out some questions from there. It helps me retain stuff.

The reason that I blog about my studies is so that I can come back to it later and see how consistent I am…it’s a record that lets me know how much I’ve achieved so far. In case I fail, I can review these posts and see what I did wrong.

I’ll check out your blog and let’s keep in touch :)

    Hi
    Nice blog.
I am also aiming to take level 2 June 2008.
But I am having trouble finding a study planner to schedule my sessions.
Could you point me to a study plan or email me?

    Many thanks!

    @ Chen:

umm…I don’t have any study planner. I made it myself. Just decide what you need to study depending upon the amount of time you can devote and you should be fine. :)
